2010
Have you ever thought about how much energy is being put into the “fitness industry”? Im not sure how much, but allowing the entire world to waste all their energy in exercising in energy consuming machines seems totally out of date when something like yoga exists.
Yoga gives you extraordinary physical strength with very little external resources. But that’s not all: yoga is also about finding your inner strength, something beyond merely external physical training. By practicing yoga we become not only physically balanced but also happier human beings. As a result we can contribute to the greater well-being of the world - living MICRO life for real. Therefore starting 2010 yoga will be a major element in MMM course offering. So a yoga course is not just a yoga course - its about MICRO LIVING or how we can actually integrate yoga in a modern sustainable lifestyle. Therefore will we in the afternoons and evenings actually work on real projects and of course also discuss MICRO LIFE in general. It will be possible to build various elements – and you can see more later here on this site what this could be.
You will also be asked to be part of the cooking since most cooking will be of very experimental character and primarily vegetarian and RAW. So don’t expect an ordinary yoga retreat, but a possibility to actually do something different – for you but also for the world.

micro-biography - Mikko Seppinen
In the early days of the millennium my search for something deeper led me to Ashtanga yoga. The first class was like a homecoming. I felt alive, strong, and yet surprisingly peaceful. Since then the process has moved me through many twists and turns.
The path has taken from my first class in Helsinki to regular visits to the source of Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India. It has led me to study different aspects of yoga with inspiring teachers in Europe, North America and Asia. From the first attempt to touch my toes with straight legs to the more subtle levels of pranayama and meditative practices.
With a degree in social sciences, I did not go out into the world with any intention of becoming a full time student of yoga. I worked in journalism and public relations, and pursued a passion for running. But, even from the very beginning, yoga offered me something more than just a physical discipline done once a day, more than just a break from the rat race. Over the years my practice slowly grew, and when opportunity came and yoga called me, I had to follow my gut and start a new chapter in my life.
The practice itself is the real teacher and no one else can do the work for you or untie your knots. My aim is to offer you the practice, space, and the guidance you may need on your individual journey to find your inner teacher and to help you bring yoga off the mat and into every moment of your life. I want to create an environment that helps you to gently move from the bustle of daily western life to the calm, quiet center within yourself.
This is what the practice is all about. Quieting the mind to disempower the useless patterns of thinking, judging, competing, resisting, and being attached; to open up to your true feelings, your true self, to be even more real, to be happier.
Yoga has opened me to change and has helped me to refine a more conscious way to walk through life. Allowing each day to bring new discoveries, yoga is for me an ongoing, cumulative, and therapeutic practice. It is a life long journey, not a destination.
MMM plays an important role on my journey. Yoga is an ancient yet living tradition that has an ability to reflect the challenges and possibilities of each society and era. MMM answers to the questions of our time in a unique way and offers me a fantastic opportunity to be contributing to real change through yoga. To be with real visionaries. Being inspired and inspiring others.
I have been teaching since 2003 and completed a Centered Yoga program of practical and theoretical education in yoga.
The courses can be taken as 1 week too at a time.
If you want to attend this course please send an e-mail here and you will later be told the exact procedures how to pay deposit etc. We would like you to write some lines why you would like to come to MMM and why you would like to do this specific course - also it will be useful to know about your background in terms of yoga experience.
The price for the courses you will find by clicking here.
